When God Makes Lemonade by Don Jacobson
This book is a collection of sixty-eight short stories of how God creates good outcomes and new beginnings from tragic circumstances. The author tells of his own tragic story of while hunting he accidentally shoots himself and is forced to leave a profession he loves as woodsman and starts a new career in the publishing industry. At the time he thought his accident was devastating but his accident is what lead to even a more fulfilling life. The author leaves the rest of the book to tell their own story. After roughly half of the stories the author leaves a short paragraph and adds his own commentary of what God was able to accomplish in spite off tragedy. Often times reading this book I found myself saying here we go again another tragedy and that the book was getting a little depressing, but after each story is God at work trying to show me how he can work for good. This is a great book and even though I am not correctly going through a difficult time in life. I could see this book providing some rest and relief during a trying time in life. I would recommend this book to anyone. I did receive a free copy of this book from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
